EARLY FOUNDATIONS

FINE ARTS
BY ARYASOMAYAJULA GEETA

CLASS DETAILS

This is where the journey begins — a structured programme for young children who are starting to notice, question, and reach for the tools to draw what they see.

Has your child started asking:

"How do I draw this?"

"How do I do this shading?"

"I want to learn this..."

If so, they're ready for this class.

Early Foundations is not a hobby or free-play art class. It is the first stage of a structured, multi-year programme — the same programme that carries students through to advanced drawing, painting, and composition work as they grow. Children who begin here and stay build a rare depth of skill over time; several of my current advanced students started at this same early stage.

At this age, the goal is not finished pictures — it is building the real foundations that make later skill possible: how to hold a pencil with control, how to look closely at an object before drawing it, how to see shape, light, and form. This is the groundwork for everything that comes after, including my Fine Art Classes programme for ages 8-13.

  3. Missed Classes: Your fee reserves your child’s specific live time slot, hence missed classes cannot be refunded or rescheduled.

  4. If a student is absent, I will take them through a quick recap of the lesson in the next class or share a video (as applicable) so they can easily practice at home and catch up.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN PHASE I:

I am specific about how young children begin, because the right start matters as much as the right materials. In this phase, children work on:

1. Pencil grip and control

2. Looking closely — observing shape, edges, and light before drawing

3. Simple, guided mark-making exercises

4. Building the patience and focus a longer art journey needs

A specific materials list will be shared once registration is confirmed.
